What three traits define you?

Whittling someone down into three traits is next to impossible, but if I had to choose three, I would probably select idealistic, proactive, and dynamic.


What gets you out of bed in the morning?

My kids, usually. Unfortunately, they don’t know how to make the coffee. 🙂 Ha! But as far as my inspiration for starting each day goes, I’d have to say that I simply love people, life, and throwing my energy in the ring for a common cause, and I believe that each of us is contributing to something bigger than ourselves.


Where is your favorite place to be?

This sounds somewhat cliche, but Disneyland! There’s nothing like the Happiest Place on Earth! That said, I sure spend a lot of time in Trader Joe’s.


What’s your favorite thing about working at ChicExecs?

My favorite thing about working at ChicExecs is working alongside a group of vibrant women who empower one another on a daily basis. It’s a fresh dose of inspiration every single day!


If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

I think we could all learn a lot from actor and activist Emma Watson. I respect how she carries herself with such confidence and character, and I look up to the way that she champions women’s rights, humanitarian causes, and sustainability. Watson knows her mind and heart and is a positive role model for young people, showing them that age and gender need not have any bearing on a person’s ability to change the world.

What’s one piece of advice you would give someone just starting at ChicExecs?

What’s your go-to motto?

I absolutely love Don Miguel Ruiz’s Four Agreements:


1. Be impeccable with your word.

People might be surprised to know that I’m not only a credentialed bilingual classroom teacher but also a certified babywearing educator!
